German company, Praxisdienst, was a pioneer way back in 1953 when it was founded. It was one of the first mail order companies for medical products. Doctors, hospitals and care facilities are now able to acquire everything from syringes to medical furniture from one place. Over the following years, Praxisdienst continued to lead the way, by opening an online medical shop in 2007. This was their opportunity to truly expand internationally, now that it was possible to offer their products on the webshop in different languages. Consequently, Praxisdienst is now one of Europe’s leading companies for medical supplies and equipment.
Customer satisfaction always comes first
It’s difficult to understate just how important it is that these medical supplies and equipment can be efficiently paid for and quickly delivered. There are times when lives can literally be saved. Praxisdienst is very aware of its responsibility and does everything possible to continuously improve the payment process and delivery service. This year, these efforts have been rewarded, with first place in the customer satisfaction category, in the largest German B2B ranking (medical supplies sector).
However, there’s still much work to do, it can always be better. Michael Heine, the CEO, says, “We’ve been trying to manage integration of our payment services for years. It was very bad. Every time we tried to add a new payment method, it was such a long procedure.” After all the disappointments and frustrations, this was the moment that Praxisdienst thought about Mollie. “We are a company who makes quick decisions, so we decided to try Mollie. Praxisdienst chose Mollie because it was more reliable, as well as easier to integrate and update in their webshop. In their line of business, it’s critical to have as little downtime as possible. Michael Heine tells us: “With our last payment provider, everytime we had to integrate a new payment method, we had downtime of half a day to a day”.
