Mollie welcomes Susan Wilson, CHRO & Joe Katz, CFO to its growing leadership team

Mollie is delighted to be welcoming two more amazing people to our senior leadership team. Susan Wilson will be our Chief Human Resources Officer, while Joe Katz is our new Chief Financial Officer.
Susan joins us from Uber where, as EMEA HR Director, she led Uber’s HR Business Partner and HR Specialist teams for both the Uber Rides and Uber Eats businesses. Prior to this, Susan was a Senior HR Business Partner in the Middle East and Africa, supporting Uber employees across 14 countries. Before Uber, Susan spent nearly a decade leading HR teams in the financial services sector for major institutions like ABN AMRO, Thomson Reuters, Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays.
“I’m so excited to be joining Mollie. I’ve been based in Amsterdam for the past year and have heard nothing but admiration and pride for Mollie’s engaging, high energy and fun culture,” says Susan. “My role is all about harnessing the culture that has made Mollie so successful and structuring and nurturing that culture as we continue to scale. My time with a fast-paced scale-up tech firm and my years working in financial services made Mollie the perfect career opportunity for me.”
Joe Katz joins from ING Bank. After pursuing his finance career at UPC, Joe helped a friend launch Story Corps before moving to ING Bank where he spent in total almost 25 years in multiple roles – most recently as Chief Risk Officer for the Netherlands, which is a business unit of 10,000 and roughly 2.5 BN EUR profit, and prior to that as Head of Business Banking looking after ING’s 2.5 million SMEs across nine different jurisdictions:
“SMEs are so heterogeneous. It’s been hard historically for financial institutions to serve this critical segment. Mollie has done such a great job with this and is well on its way to becoming the most loved PSP – but we can still do way more. It’s an exciting time to be joining Mollie. As the company scales into a maturity phase, processes have to be made sustainable without losing our unique culture. What attracted me to Mollie is that it isn’t hierarchical or bureaucratic – individuals can make a significant impact on the business and our customers. We plan to keep it that way.”
Mollie has been expanding its team at all levels to prepare for continued future growth. Susan and Joe are the latest additions to Mollie’s leadership team, following the appointments of Shane Happach (CEO), Rogier Schoute (Chief Product Officer) and Julien Cordonnier (Chief Operations Officer) earlier this year.
