Podmínky pro platby na místě (IPP)

*These terms take effect on 7 September 2026 for merchants who register with Mollie on or after that date. If you registered with Mollie before 7 September 2026, these terms will take effect for you on 7 October 2026.

Welcome to Mollie’s IPP Terms. These apply between you (the Organisation), and Mollie. The IPP Terms govern your use of IPP services and are additional to the User Agreement. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the definitions and provisions of the User Agreement and these IPP Terms, these IPP Terms prevail, but only in relation to the IPP services. You can find the definitions section at the bottom of this page.

Section 1: IPP

Article 1 Introduction

Mollie offers a range of IPP Solutions, including hardware and software. Mollie allows you to use (an) IPP Solution(s) if you are eligible and Mollie has agreed to this. You can register for this in your Account.

You must always comply with the conditions that apply from time to time to each IPP Solution, including, but not limited to, Mollie-specific business requirements, Applicable Laws, Scheme Rules, or any applicable third-party terms and conditions.

IPP Solutions can only be used by the Organisation and its registered persons. Unless agreed otherwise, the IPP Solution may only be used in the country where the Organisation is registered and in areas where Mollie is licensed to operate. Mollie has the right to void Transactions and/or block the Terminal if Transactions are deemed to originate from an unauthorised jurisdiction or if the Terminal is used for unauthorised activities. Use of the Terminal, SIM card and SoftPOS must be in accordance with their designated purpose and subject to reasonable fair use. The Terminal and SoftPOS may not be altered, tampered with or modified unless expressly authorised in writing by Mollie. You must comply with PCI-DSS, PA-DSS, Scheme Rules and Applicable Laws.

Article 2 IPP Solutions

2.1  Hardware solutions

Mollie offers different Terminals to make use of IPP: Mollie’s Tap Terminal and Terminals from Mollie’s Selected Supplier. Besides, you can also use Third Party Terminals for IPP.

2.1.1 Tap Terminals

Mollie offers a Terminal called ‘Tap’. The use of Tap is subject to specific terms and conditions (“Tap Terms”), which form part of the User Agreement and are made available to you at the time of registration for Tap and in your Dashboard. In the event of any conflict between the Tap Terms and these IPP Terms, the Tap Terms prevail only in respect of Tap.

2.1.2  Selected Supplier

Mollie offers Terminals from our Selected Supplier. You can purchase a Terminal from our Selected Supplier  via your Dashboard or a unique link provided by Mollie. By purchasing such a Terminal, you accept the Selected Supplier’s prevailing terms and conditions and warranties. The applicable Fees and Terminal details will be visible in your Dashboard.

2.1.3 Third Party Terminals

You can purchase a Terminal via a third party supplier. If you choose such Third-Party Terminal, you are responsible for its compatibility with the Payment Module. Mollie will enable SoftPOS on the Third-Party Terminal separately. Mollie is not liable or responsible for the functioning of a Third-Party Terminal. Any damage arising from its use, including rendering the Payment Module or Services unavailable, is not at Mollie's expense or risk. Hardware support is not available for Third-Party Terminals.

As an additional feature, you can integrate SoftPOS with a Device using the integration guidelines on Mollie's developers page.

2.2 Software solutions (SoftPOS)

Mollie offers SoftPOS. This is used on the Tap Terminal to accept Transactions for cards and other payments. SoftPOS can also be used to accept cards and other payments directly on your own Terminal. Availability of SoftPOS is subject to your Terminal meeting Mollie's compatibility requirements as published on your Dashboard or communicated by Mollie. Software for Selected Supplier Terminals is offered by the Selected Supplier.

Article 3 Updates for SoftPOS and other Software

Mollie will occasionally release SoftPOS updates and/or other payment related Software. Either you or Mollie will install the update remotely on the Terminal. You may need to activate it to complete the process. The Terminal must be connected to the internet, and you may be required to accept or install the update manually. If you need to actively perform an action for the update, Mollie will provide reasonable advance notice with appropriate instructions. In critical or exceptional circumstances, as Mollie may reasonably determine, updates may be deployed without prior notice.

You must ensure all required updates have been installed and that you are running the latest available version of the Mollie application and Mollie Terminal application on your Terminal. Mollie is not liable for any damage, problems or losses arising during or after the update process or from use of outdated SoftPOS. Failure to update may constitute a breach of Scheme Rules, data security requirements or Applicable Laws, and you must indemnify Mollie against any third-party claims, damage or fines arising from such a breach. Mollie will provide reasonable notice if a Terminal type is no longer supported, in which case you must use another Terminal.

Article 4 Pricing

The Fees you pay Mollie for the use of an IPP Solution are displayed in your Dashboard. Mollie may charge a monthly Fee for the use of a Terminal, depending on the Fee structure. You must pay the monthly Fee in any month in which your Terminal is used or connected (active), regardless of duration. A Terminal is considered active if it is used or connected at any point during that month. You can activate or deactivate a Terminal each month as required.

Article 5 Support

Mollie provides support for IPP Solutions through the Mollie Support channels in your Dashboard, excluding hardware support for Third-Party Terminals. Support is provided to registered persons for your Organisation only, and does not include in-store staff support.

Support for Tap Terminals is governed by the Tap Terms.

Support for Selected Supplier Terminals purchased in the Mollie Dashboard is subject to the relevant supplier's terms and conditions. However, Mollie does provide day to day first line support.

Article 6 Termination

You can cease your use of an IPP Solution, temporarily or permanently, by deactivating the Terminal and, if applicable, its SIM card. Any outstanding Fees must be paid prior to deactivation. If you reactivate your Terminal, SoftPOS or SIM card your eligibility for IPP will be reassessed.

Mollie may cease your access to IPP and the Terminal: (i) if the User Agreement is terminated in accordance with its Article 10, in which case the IPP Solution will be deactivated accordingly; or (ii) by deactivating the IPP Solution without giving reasons, without otherwise affecting the User Agreement. If Mollie does so within six (6) months of your first IPP Transaction, you will receive reasonable pro-rated compensation for the purchased Terminal(s). If Mollie terminates the User Agreement for reasons set out in Article 10.1(i) through (vi) and (viii), no compensation for Terminals will be due.
