London, 19th March: Mollie, one of Europe’s leading financial services providers, today announced the UK launch of Tap, its new in-person payments solution designed for small and medium sized businesses. The launch combines a portable contactless payment terminal with a standalone Tap app, enabling UK businesses to accept payments in-store, on location, or directly from any NFC-enabled device like a smartphone or tablet.
The launch expands Mollie’s in-person payments offering in the UK, giving SMBs a more comprehensive way to accept payments in-store. It builds on more than 20 years of payments experience and Mollie’s work in supporting more than 250,000 businesses across Europe.
The news comes as the UK and Europe look to strengthen the future of their payments infrastructure. With Tap, Mollie aims to simplify in-person payments by combining modern payment hardware with its existing software ecosystem, allowing businesses to manage online and offline payments in one place.
