KB Sports, a premium boutique gym in Düsseldorf, offers tailored personal training at the highest level. Founder Danny Beckers chose the combination of Trainin and Mollie to automate his business, allowing him to focus entirely on his clients as he expands into the German market.
From elite sports to boutique fitness
Co-founder Danny Beckers brings a unique background to his entrepreneurial journey. After moving to Germany eight years ago, he operated at the highest level of professional ice hockey as a performance trainer for Düsseldorfer EG.
“Playing in front of crowds of up to 14,000 fans gave me an incredible amount of experience, discipline, and energy,” Danny explains. Together with business partner and ice hockey legend Daniel Kreutzer, he founded KB Sports with a clear vision: making personal training truly personal.
On March 1st 2026, they took the next step with the launch of KB Atelier. This boutique gym concept focuses on high-level coaching and small group sessions in an exclusive, calm environment.

Seamless payments with Mollie
A major advantage for KB Sports is how Mollie is integrated directly into the Trainin platform. For a business expanding in Germany, offering the right payment methods - like PayPal, Pay by Bank, and SEPA direct debit - is essential.
Through the integration, payments are handled automatically. Whether it’s a monthly membership or a one-off purchase, invoices are created and sent in the background.
Danny explains the value this adds to his daily operations: “We have automated a large part of our business. Members book sessions in the app, and payments are processed automatically without us having to think about it. It saves us a huge amount of time.”
Danny adds: “With Trainin and Mollie, we’ve reduced our admin time by around 30%.”
Even small purchases are integrated. “For simple things like drinks from the fridge, members can just pay through the app. The payment is processed via Mollie and transferred to our account. We believe in trust, and in practice, this works perfectly.”
