Have you ever experienced the anticipation that comes with sending out invoices and waiting for payments? Regular calls and emails to customers, hoping the amount has been transferred, can feel a bit outdated in a world where everyone can swiftly settle bills with iDEAL. While our payment platform is commonly known for facilitating online payments, it offers more versatility. You can use our system to streamline invoice payments, whether integrated with your invoicing system or by simply sending a payment link.
Invoices Settled Swifter with Payment Links

What exactly is a payment link?
A payment link is a straightforward hyperlink redirecting the customer to Mollie's secure payment screen. Easily created, it can be sent via email or added to an invoice, providing customers with a convenient way to settle outstanding amounts promptly. Your customers can choose from various payment methods activated in your account, offering flexibility based on their preferences. For instance, a Dutch customer can opt for iDEAL, while a Belgian customer might prefer the Bancontact/Mister Cash option.
Advantages of Payment Links
Payment links come with several benefits:
Quick and easy to use.
No requirement for technical expertise or programming skills.
Customers can choose their preferred payment method.
Simplifies the payment process for customers.
Creating a Payment Link
You can create payment links with Plink. Plink is a separate service that is built on Mollie. You can simply log in to Plink with your Mollie account. When you are logged in to Plink, you can press the “New” button in the top left. You fill in a description (for example an order or invoice number) and the desired amount. You can then copy this link and place it in your invoice or email to the customer. If you click on “Mail this link to your customer”, a new message will automatically be opened in your mail program (installed on your computer). You can also choose to email Plink itself a payment link to your customer. Creating payment links manually is especially useful if you want a ready-to-use interface. If you want to automate the creation of payment links and add specific functionalities, it is best to develop something yourself based on our Mollie API .
