“The payment process opened in a separate pop-up,” explains Benjamin. “It was an experience worthy of the 2000s – a real step back in time.”

This clunky, multi-step checkout created friction, lacked the modern payment methods customers wanted, and harmed the brand experience at the most critical moment – leading to abandoned carts and lost revenue. 

The brief was clear: make payments feel native, modern, seamless.
